All Boys Week at Camp Hawkins!!
Wow! Where do I begin! This past week was the last week of Camp Hawkins for this summer. It was all boys week, which certainly made the week very interesting. I am certain that after working this week at camp that the children probably impacted those of us that worked with them more than we impacted them. They truly are a small piece of heaven sent here to remind us of the importance of love. These sweet children love unconditionally, which is certainly a challenge for many. I was reminded of how we are called by our Lord to serve and take care of those who cannot repay us. We are called to carry these sweet children to Jesus. We cannot let these precious children down. What a wonderful blessing it was to see the smiles on these children’s face as they had the time of their lives this week. For one week, they got to “fit in” and be “cool”. They weren’t different. My prayer for these sweet children is that the Lord’s grace covers them as they continue their journey in life. May they continue to change lives.
