Yes, You Can Ministry

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." – Philippians 4:13

My Redeemer lives!

Exodus 66, “Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.”

Moses and Aaron had been going before Pharaoh insisting in the name of the Lord that he let the Israelites go; at the same time they were speaking to the Israelites telling them the plan that God had for them. We don’t know if they had been in Egypt for days, weeks or even months sharing the message of God, but we can be sure that they were frustrated both with the Israelites and Pharaoh. No one was listening to the message that they had!

I have been in the ministry now(in some capacity)for 15 years now, and I can tell you that I have wanted to slap more than one person because they would not listen to me, even though I was sure that my message came from God. I’m sure Moses and Aaron felt this way. They probably felt like the Apostles James and John in Luke 9 when they asked Jesus if He wanted to call fire down from Heaven and destroy the unbelievers. At times all ministers probably feel like that. It’s ok; Jesus did not condemn James and John, and God will not condemn you. God understands our human emotions!

But, His message never changes He will always complete His rescue mission regardless of our emotions. Listen to what He says to Moses and Aaron, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.” God does not get interrupted by our belief or disbelief. HE IS GOD, and He’s going to do what He’s going to do regardless of how we feel.

Listen to what God says in in Exodus 33:19, “And He said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the LORD before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion on whom I will show compassion.” Our wants and desires are good things to have because they push us to drive harder and go further, but in the end if our desires don’t match His then they are going to be vetoed by God.

God has redeemed us with His outstretched arms, and their is coming a great day of judgement when God will judge us through the image of His Son, Jesus Christ, we need to be ready! Are you?

Father, I thank You for redeeming me with Your outstretched arm, and the blood of Jesus; and Father I ask that You search my heart and reveal to me any areas that I have not surrendered to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen
