Yes, You Can Ministry

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." – Philippians 4:13

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Exodus 8:15, “But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said.”

Isn’t this typical of the human race we seek God for relief in a situation, and then after God gives us the relief we need we turn our backs on Him and forget the promises we made.

Moses and Aaron had been coming before Pharaoh for sometime, and they had been seeking for Pharaoh to let God’s people, the Israelites(Jews) go.(Make no mistake the Jewish people are still God’s chosen, but in His love for all mankind His Grace was extended.)

Because of the plague of frogs on his land Pharaoh repented, and agreed to let the Hebrews go and worship; but when God removed the plague Pharaoh’s self-sufficcient, stubborn heart returned and he changed his mind.

Many times we get like that we are in what seems to be a life or death situation, and suddenly we realize we need God’s help. So, we cry out to God to save us, and we promise Him everything we have; but then after God brings relief and we get through the situation we renigg on our promise to God.

Because of His love for us God will grant us the requests that we ask in His(Jesus’) Name that are according to His will, but we should never forget that God is holy and deserving of our praise in the good times and the bad. God is deserving of our adoration whether “the frogs” are removed or not. If we choose to praise God only when the skies are blue and the birds are singing then it will seem that we have up with more grey and storms in our life.

I am not aware of what you may be going through now, but I am aware that God is there to help in all situations that you face. When God provides relief do not turn your back to Him, or you could end up as the man in Jesus’ parable.(click here Matthew 12:42-45)

Father, I thank You for the storms in my life, and I ask that You would use these times to draw me closer to You and more appreciative of the Grace You give. In Jesus’name, Amen
