Yes, You Can Ministry

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." – Philippians 4:13

The Future is Here!

Leviticus 26:7, “But you will chase your enemies and they will fall before you by the sword ;”

As chilren of God, His beloved people, we sometimes forget to remember that we have the victory. We are not going to have the victory in some far off distant utopia that God has promised, but He promised the Israelites, and us, that if they would only believe then their enemies would be destroyed.

Many times, in the church today we forget about God’s promise, and we look ahead to some glorious day in the future. While that day is coming when we will be in His joy for eternity; God also wants us to live in the present, but not as frail, beaten down creatures who have given up and are waiting for Utopia. But, as victorious conquerors that have the victory in the present because of Him. God reminds us in Romans 8:29-39 that we have the victory. He doesn’t say we are going to win; God says that we have won. The battle is over; the victory is ours, or as Jesus said “It is finished!” Jesus was referring to the battle, His battle, against evil, and He said it’s over, and I won the victory. Jesus Christ beat death, and because He won we win.

We are not going to win in some future Utopia, but we have won today, right now, in the present we have the victory. Jesus did not say, “It will be finished when you reach Heaven.”, but He said,”It is finished” right now! When we call on His name for salvation we are saved from the grips of Satan, PERIOD! We are not saved only from sin, but left alone to battle Satan in other areas, but Jesus saves once and for all from Satan.

John 3:16 is possibly the most famous verse in the Bible: almost everyone, Muslim, Mormon, Hindu and Jewish, knows this verse. In it Jesus said, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” Jesus did not say when we die we will be given eternal life, but He said we have eternal life when we believe. From that moment on death cannot touch us, as somebody once said, “We are fireproof!”. Satan can bring all of his forces against me, but I’m not worried, and neither should you be because God is on our side; and we have His promise that nothing can separate us!

Father, I thank You for giving me the victory through Jesus, and I ask that You remind me that I have that victory now, in the present, so I will not be fearful when Satan attacks. In Jesus’ name, Amen
