Prayer=Patriotism
Deuteronomy 91, “Hear, O Israel ! You are crossing over the Jordan today to go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than you, great cities fortified to heaven,”
The Israelites were scared to death! Here they were on the threshold of going in and fighting men and nations that were bigger and stronger. They had been here about 40 years previously, and they were frightened to go in; so God got angry at them. When they finally did go in they were desmated because they tried to do it without God!
Whenever I read the stories of Israel I am reminded of this great nation,the U?nited States off America, and our hunble beginnings. The USA started as an idea from a small group of men who were sick of paying homage to a foreign king. They recruited more and more men, mostly farmers and shopkeepers, and with this small, insignificant and untrained group of soldiers they defeated the largest, most powerful and well trained army in the world.
From the small group of men who met to complain about being “robbed” came the strongest and most influential nation in the world. This nation was not and could not have been formed by men. There is no human explanation as to how a small, uneducated group of men could overcome a mighty world power.
These men knew that without the help of God their endeavor of creating a nation would end in disaster. Prayer and faith in God was vital to the foundation of this country, and is still vital for the continued blessings from God on this nation. We can see the results from the Supreme Court decision to remove prayer from public schools that have given way to a steady decline in the morality of America.

Father, I ask that You remind us of the great power that we have through prayer, and that we always seek Your face in prayer so we might continue to receive Your blessings. In Jesus’ name, Amen
