Yes, You Can Ministry

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." – Philippians 4:13

Prosper in His Word

Deuteronomy 30:19 This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

These words were given to Moses by God for the Israelites. Even though they were specifically for the Hebrew nation that had been wandering for forty years there is much that we can learn.
It was known at this time that Moses would not be allowed to enter into the Promised Land, and I am certain that the Israelites were apprehensive about this. They had been following Moses through the wilderness for forty yearss; he was in effect God to them, but he was not going with them any farther. But God reassured them that even though Moses would not be with them that they would still prosper and be under His protection if they would obey His commands.
The commands of God are more important to us than any person we follow. I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with having a “favorite preacher” who you listen to, but whether or not that preacher is with you then you still have the protection, an guidance of God if you follow His commands. That’s why I believe it is crucial for all Christians to develop a personal Bible study. If you or I do not have an intimate knowledge of God’s Word then we are setting ourselves up for disaster when Satan and his demons attack, and they WILL attack. Ephesians 6:10-17 tells us to put on the full armour of God, so we will be able to stand against the devil’s evil forces; and that armour we need can be found when we read and study God’s Word. Our preacher cannot put the armour on us, he can help prepare us; but the armour that we need must be put on by ourselves!
I encourage you today to take time to read God’s Word for yourself, so that you will be fully prepared when the day of attack comes.

Father God, I thank You for giving me Your Word so that I can prepare for demonic attacks, and I ask that You would encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ to draw close to You through reading Your Word that they may be prepared to stand against the forces of evil. In Jesus’ name, Amen
