My strength is in the Lord
Deuteronomy 31:23, “Then He(God) commissioned Joshua the son of Nun, and said, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall bring the sons of Israel into the land which I swore to them, and I will be with you.”
I love this verse because it reminds me that God is my strength. It does not say that I get strength from God, or God will strengthen me when necessary; but it reminds me that God is my strength.
The Israelites were facing an impossible task, and on top of that they were losing their connection to God, or so they thought. But God reminds them that they would not going to find my strength in Moses,he was only a man, and Joshua who would take his place did not have any strength either; but God said I have the power you need. I will go before you, and I will give you the land that I promised. It’s all about God!
I don’t know about you, but I find comfort in that because even in my teenage years when I had strength like an ox(o.k maybe I wasn’t that strong) I wasn’t strong enough to defeat death, but God did when Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again three days later.
It was as if God see what I can do; do you see what kind of strength I have. Not even physical death can stop me from showing my power.
I don’t know what kind of struggles you may be facing today, but I do know that whatever it may be God is sitting on His throne in Heaven saying “If you will only call on My name I will beat your problem.
Jesus tells us not carry our burdens anymore, but to give them to Him. Matthew 11:28,”Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.29″Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.30″For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
We also read in Peter’s letter to the believer’s who were scattered; I Peter 5:6 “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” That God will take care of our problems when we humble ourselves before Him.
God has the strength we need today, tomorrow and forever! When we come to Him with a humble heart then He will make a way where there seems to be no way!

Father God, I thank You for being all the strength that I need, and I ask that You help all those who read these words with the problems they face. In Jesus’ name, Amen
