THE ROMAN ROAD TO SALVATION
There are many ways that can lead to salvation, but there is only one person who can bring salvation, Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12, “And there is Salvation in none other, for there is no other name under Heaven which has been given unto men by which we must be saved.”
Of the various ways that we use to show people their need for Jesus Christ, one of my favorites is called the Roman Road. It is easy for others to understand, and it is easy to remember, only 5 verses all in the book of Romans.

Romans 3:23-”For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.”

We’ve all sinned, and none of us deserves the mercy and grace of God that was shown through Jesus Christ. Billy Graham, Mother Theresa, even the Apostle Paul is no more worthy than you are in themselves to receive the gift of God.

Romans 5:8, “But God confirmed His love for us in this, that while we still sinners Christ died for us.”

We are all sinners deserving death, and hell.(Hell is a real place!! It is eternal separation from God in eternal nothingness and torture.) We were sinners deserving death, but God did not wait for us to come back to Him; He sent Jesus into this world to die so that we could come to Him and live with God forever in Heaven.

Romans 6:23, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.”

We’ve already seen that we deserve death(eternal separation from God) because of our actions, but God has given us a gift through His Son, Jesus Christ. Not because of our worth but because of His love.

Romans10:9-10, “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, for with the heart a person believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

God has offered the free gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. The only thing that you have to do is receive the gift He’s given.

If you are reading this and have never received this gift, and you want to, so that you know you have eternal life, then repeat the following prayer,
Father God, I know that you sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and save me from my sins. I know that I am not worthy, but I need your free gift in my life. Amen
