Yes, You Can Ministry

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." – Philippians 4:13

Hyper, off the charts love

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Love is one of the most misunderstood and misused words in the English language. Many times we say we love pizza, and then we turn to our spouse and tell them, “I love you.” Obviously we mean two different things, but we used the same word. We should say that we like pizza because of what it does for us, but we love our spouses simply because of who they are. Love has nothing to do with what we receive in return. Love, true love, is all about others, and has nothing to do with us, or our feelings.

God loved us from the very beginning!  Man was created in the image of God. That means that we were created, made by God, to rule and have authority over all His creation. In Psalm 8:5 we are reminded that God made us a little lower than the angels. Which you should keep in mind when Satan attacks you because he’s a fallen angel and God created him superior to you.  God loved mankind even when they were far from Him, and for millennium He sent prophet’s to draw people back to Him. But, because the heart of man was wicked and disobedient they thought that they could find their own way back to God without His help.

After centuries of watching man fail and fall short of the perfection that God demanded. God, out of His love, sent Jesus to bring us back into a relationship with Him. Jesus, God’s Son, came to this earth to show us the truth that God had been sending His prophets to show. When Jesus, God in the flesh, came He came not only as a Prophet of God, but as God Himself to help us realize that there is no way in which man can ever reach the perfection on his own even if they know the truth. I Corinthians 2:14 says, “But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to Him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.” Even with the highest education you can get or the most formal doctoral training possible you can never understand the things of God unless you have His Spirit inside you leading your steps.

That is why Jesus came into this world, so that through His life we could see the truths of God, and through His death He could pay the perfect price that was/is required by God; and especially that because of His resurrection we could have access to the Spirit of God and see how desperate our situation is without Him. Jesus Christ came to this earth to demonstrate to us the full measure of the love of God!

I pray that if you have never done so that you ask God to take away your imperfections, and fill you with His Spirit, so that you can understand His path; and so that you can say of yourself, “Therefore, if any man is in Christ he is a new creature, the old things have passed away; behold new things have come.” II Corinthians 5:17

If you have never accepted God’s free gift of His Spirit into your life then say a prayer like this:

Father, I am a sinner, and I know that I cannot come into Your presence in my sinful nature; but I thank You for providing a way for me to get rid of my sinful nature and be cleansed by the blood sacrifice of Your Son. I ask that You would cleanse my heart, and make me a new creature in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
