Yes, You Can Ministry

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." – Philippians 4:13

About & Beliefs

In 1988, Satan tried to end the life of high school student Steve Mitchell. On the way home from his Junior Prom Steve had a near fatal car accident. Steve was not expected to live, but after spending two months in a coma, Steve woke up. Then he went through several months of intensive therapy: after being released from the hospital in November of 1988, Steve went on to graduate East Coweta High School with his class in 1989. Steve went on to the State University of West Georgia, where he graduated with a BA in Psychology in 1997. Along the way, Steve met the Lord Jesus Christ, and He gave the power to use this broken and frail body for His Glory!

Yes, You Can is run by the instructions laid out by Jesus in Matthew chapter 10. When Jesus sent out His disciples, He told them not to take any “extra supplies,” but they should rely on the generosity of His children. Therefore, I do not require any previous guarantee, but I simply rely on God; and I know that He will provide for my needs.

What we believe!
About God
God the Father exists in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are three unique individual entities, but they make up One Creator; and they share the same power.
God the Father created the universe and gave man free will to choose Him or deny Him. He spent millennium calling men back to himself after Adam and Eve chose to follow their own fleshly desires and seek answers beyond Him.
About Jesus
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the second person in the Trinity. After nearly 2,000 years of calling man back to Himself through prophets, God sent His Son to dwell on this earth among men and to bring us back into a right relationship with Him. Jesus and the Father exist as two individuals but have the same authority over life.
Jesus Christ came into this world as a prophet of God to show men the inability that they had to live the life that God demanded away from Him(Jesus). While on this earth, Jesus served the people as a priest, pointing them back to Gods’ truth and caring for their physical needs. One day, Jesus Christ will split the eastern sky as He returns, leading His armies to defeat Satan, and He will reign forever as King!
About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit(some refer to Him as the Holy Ghost) is the third person of the trinity. Together with God the Father and Jesus Christ(God the Son) He completes the Trinity. The Holy Spirit was given to the disciples on the day of Pentecost as their Comforter(John 14:26). The Holy Spirit is still present inside every Christian, directing them and guiding them in God’s truth.
About Salvation
Since the fall of Adam and Eve from God’s grace due to disobedience, mankind has been seeking to find a way back into the presence of God; which is plainly seen by the example of the Tower of Babel in Genesis chapter 11. God continually sent His prophets among the people to call them back to Himself. However, because of the hardness of mans heart, they were unwilling to listen to the prophets and obey God.
God then sent His Son Jesus Christ into this world as a prophet to point the people to God, and show us that is impossible for man to live up to Gods’ demand for perfection apart from Him. Jesus Christ is the only way that you or I can be worthy of the free gift of salvation that God offers. It is impossible for us to earn salvation through good works because God demands perfection, not goodness. So God sent His Son that everybody may be perfected in Him(Colossians 1:28, “We proclaim Him(Jesus Christ), admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.”), and that through Him, we can gain salvation.

  1. I usually don’t post in Blogs but your blog forced me to, amazing work.. beautiful …

  2. I especially like your last paragraph – and I did start a blog – two in fact – just a few months ago! I always write letters to my children at Christmas – sometimes more often, but at least once a year. They know their letters will be in their stockings! Probably wouldn’t do anything you said not to – just a little bit inhibited! But that’s just me. Congratulations on being freshly pressed!
